Rosa Ribelle in Paris

Share
Cobblestone streets, charming cafes, and history on every facade. A trip to Paris can feel like a dream especially for a lingerie lover. Lingerie was born in France, it is in the DNA of the culture as much as champagne and croissants. Simply taking a walk through the streets led us to so much inspiration.
Not only did we get lucky with the perfect Spring weather but we had the pleasure of visiting with some incredible French brands thanks to the retreat put together by Sugar Cookies and Brooklyn Boudoir. As a small lingerie brand we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a trip to Paris through the lens of two incredible leaders in the boudoir and intimate apparel industries.
We learned lingerie history from a renowned brand, experienced the process of design to production with another iconic brand, indulged in fashion shows, custom cocktails and of course, lots of shopping. It was so inspiring to hear the stories behind both well-known brands and smaller brands making their way in our industry. Not only did it make us feel more connected to our craft but it invigorated us to continue building the Rosa Ribelle community.

We also spent time visiting fashion exhibits, experiencing a show at the Crazy Horse and treasure hunting vintage. A lot of our ideas come from the style, construction and overall mood of vintage pieces and of burlesque costumes. We visited a shop dedicated to vintage lingerie, walked through an eclectic flea market and spent time studying the fashion at the Dior Galerie. It was almost overwhelming how much beauty we took in, we returned to New York with a fresh perspective and lots of ideas for our upcoming collections.
Traveling is so important to us and every place we visit leaves an impression and inspires our designs. Paris is a wonderland full of creativity so our founder took the opportunity to style her outfits each day with lingerie, leading her to get exciting ideas for our upcoming pieces.
Stay tuned for more behind the scenes on social media of our trip.
